A patch of hidden ice sends the college car into a deep ditch, however, and she's stuck. Her decision as to whether or not to stay with the car is made for her, when a huge dog and his master come to her rescue. Spending a night or two with a strange man in a cabin in a wood—with no electricity, no phone, and no indoor plumbing!—would not be her first choice, but since it seems to be her only choice, she decides to make the best of it.
